Humberto Robles is an award-winning Mexican playwright and freelance writer.  His numerous plays have been staged in 25 countries across three continents.  Mr. Robles’ life-long passion for both the Elizabethan era and Shakespeare resonates in The Night That Never Existed, the new English translation of the award-winning La noche que jamás existió (Premio Nacional de Dramaturgia “Emilio Carballido”2014).  In this wonderfully creative play, Queen Elizabeth I summons William Shakespeare to her private chambers with the task to teach her all that he knows about Love, in all of its splendidly diverse forms.

He has also written various documentary plays that highlight contemporary human rights violations such as Mujeres sin Miedo, Las Flores de Atenco,  Nosotros somos los culpables (We Are the Guilty Ones)and Mujeres de Arena(Women of Sand) that addresses the endless cadence of femicides in Juarez, Mexico.
